Milton hurricane is one of the biggest disasters in the history of Tampa city in Florida. A hurricane so big had not hit Tampa in a 100 years. A Bangladeshi family who was traveling during the hurricane season had faced the storms in Miami. They were visiting Florida, and before going to Maimi they visited Tampa and Orlando. They took the risk of going away to Miami by road even when they had the warning about the danger of the hurricane storm hitting soon. They were lucky enough to reach Miami before the storm hit. They confirmed that the hurricane was very strong and it affected a lot of people in Florida advertisements on billboards had been blown away by the strong winds. The air felt very heavy before the storm hit. People were told to evacuate the west coast areas were the hurricane would make its landfall. We have been witnessing a lot of rain during the past two days which has resulted in waterlogged streets, and added miseries to the residents of Dhaka.  According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department ( BMD ), Dhaka has seen approximately 82mm of rainfall on July 20, 2020. As of 3pm on July 21, 2020 a total rainfall of 47mm has already been recorded.  The rainfall is not over yet - according to BMD,  light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to continue throughout the rest of the day with south/south-westerly winds of 10-15kph and wind gusts of up to 25-35kph.  The Weather Network is forecasting that heavy rainfall is likely to continue throughout Wednesday (July 22) and well in to Thursday (July 23).
