Missed Fuchka By Dhakaites

 MISSED STREET SNACKS OF DHAKA

Due to the Corona virus, Dhakaites have missed their best loved snacks like fuchka and chotpoti, Jhal Muri etc. One of our Dhakaites went to GCL annual club picnic, as a guest and got an opportunity to experience the old life style. She said as she ate the fuchka she enjoyed every bite of the mouthwatering snack, with a bit of Tok, jhal and mishti, which comes from the sourness of the tamarind water flavoured with different ground spices and linger in your mouth making you desire for more.

She said, "It was amazing and one of the best experiences since the pandemic began. Being in  lockdown it was very  hard and depressing. I went out with my friends and family, Arrangements were made to maintain hygiene and precautions were taken in order to be able to wander in the open which brought a breathe of fresh air and I felt refreshed.  The servers wore gloves and had masks on and prepared our fuchka for us, which they served on disposable plates."

She went on to describe, that the fuchkas were extremely tangy with the tamarind water, lemon juice and masalas which had been added to the water. Fuchka is one of the best snacks that we have in our country.

Excited by her day out she said, "It was a great experience to be with my friends and family in this pandemic and a great change for our mental health."

This is one of the most uncommon review given by a Dhakaites.
